Anthony Pompliano Jr., popularly known as Pomp ( born June 15th, 1988) is an American entrepreneur, technology investor, Bitcoin advocate, and U.S. Army veteran.

Pompliano runs his family office with an investment portfolio of over $500 million and invests in tech startups, and owns majority stakes in several operating businesses. 

Additionally, Pomp hosts “The Pomp Podcast,” a popular podcast in the entrepreneurial and crypto space, and has received over 50 million downloads. 

Pomp also writes a daily newsletter to over 250,000+ readers.

His interests lie at the nexus of finance, technology, entrepreneurship, and economics, which regularly talks about to his more than 1.6 million followers on X (formally Twitter).

As of 2023, Pomp has an estimated net worth of $100 million.

A renowned entrepreneur and investor, Pomp’s wealth stems from his strategic and successful investments in startups and Bitcoin. 

Pomp’s major investment is Bitcoin, which makes up about 80% of his investment portfolio, with the remainder diversified across tech startups, real estate, and earnings from social media engagement.

While the estimate of $100 million is a credible representation of his current worth, it’s worth acknowledging that this value is subject to change due to factors like investment performance, business undertakings, and market dynamics. 

Pompliano’s wealth had peaked at $300 million before the decline of one of his major investments, Block-Fi. Despite being an active investor, he has yet to cross the billionaire mark.

Pompliano graduated from Bucknell University and served in the military from March 2006 to August 2012. During his service in the United States Army, Pomp was deployed to support Operation Iraqi Freedom (2008-2009).

Career

Pomp founded Digaforce in January 2013, which Strategic Link Partners later acquired in December 2013. 

He joined Facebook in 2014 and Snapchat in 2015 to lead their Growth & Engagement teams. 

In 2016, he co-founded Full Tilt Capital, later acquired in 2018 by Morgan Creek Capital Management, an investment firm focused on blockchain and digital assets, which he co-founded in 2020.

Pomp made headlines for convincing comedian Bill Burr to buy bitcoin in 2020. 

Pompliano invested in BlockFi and Elementus through his company, Pomp Investments. He also launched a “Bitcoin Pizza” chain in 2021 to raise money for the Human Rights Foundation’s fund that supports Bitcoin developers. 

In October 2021, Pompliano lost his YouTube channel but later restored it. He remains active on YouTube, taking down all advertisers from his podcasts and videos.
